We've Made it to London!

Not going to lie...today was a rough start for me. And poor Pedro took care of me, thank goodness.
I woke up this morning dry heaving. Not the way you want to start your day at 5am, especially embarking on a trip. I knew it wasn't COVID or anything, just a bad reaction to medicine that I've had before. So I pulled myself together, got dressed, then nibbled on food and sipped water on the way to the train station. I was feeling a bit better, and we had taken the first train to Glasgow Central Station. This station is a lot larger, and I hadn't seen it before, so that boosted my spirits, as well as seeing our fancy cross-country train.

About an hour in, I felt the motion sickness. I tried to sleep it off, but at some point I got up to go to the bathroom, which was the fatal mistake. As soon as I sat back down, I asked Pedro to find a bag. I knew if I got up again, I'd throw up, but no sooner had he handed me the bag, it happened anyway. And there were leaks. A quick clean up in the bathroom, and I tried to go back to sleep.
Cue mechanical problems. Almost halfway through our journey at a stop in Lancaster, the conductor informs us we're stopped and those going to Manchester should try for another train. Of course, we needed to stay on, so we had to wait it out. An hour later, we're finally back on track. I fall asleep, trying to keep down some water and food (which luckily, I did).
After another 20 minute delay (which Pedro had to tell me about since I had slept through it), we arrive at London Euston.
I was very proud of us at this point; we were in a big city, and we managed to navigate through the Station, to the London Underground (aka the tube), to get to Kings Cross. I have to admit, the tube was a breeze, which I had not expected. Scotrail has always told us stops/platforms for our journey, so seeing a blank next to that part of our journey's tickets was a bit concerning. Props to the tube for having giant maps of all the lines, everywhere. We just kept following signs for Kings Cross and were there within 5 minutes.
Kings Cross definitely cheered me up (the Harry Potter nerd surfaced quickly). I didn't care much for the store or the photo op where there was a long queue at platform nine. I beelined straight for platform 4 and 5 where the movies where actually filmed. Beautiful Station, 10/10!

We found another train to Potter's Bar, where we were meeting our friend A. Since we missed our connection, by the time we reached our destination, it was 3pm and we were hungry.
A met us at the train station with nausea pills and donuts. Absolute treasure.
After dropping our stuff off at her place (and taking a much needed shower), we went to a local pub for food and caught up with each other.
I'm feeling much better now, hope it sticks. We requested refunds for our train delays, and made plans for touring London tomorrow. Besides the touristy stuff, A has local markets to show us, which I'm excited for.
