Take the Scenic Route

Usually when J and I walk to the grocery store, we always take the path along the roads, but there's actually another path that follows along the canal in the same direction which is the same distance.  There's joggers, bikes, and strollers on this path often, so we don't take that path when we have our grocery trolley. But today, I only had one bag with me and decided to take the scenic route. And it paid off!

We've seen swans before on the canal, but recently, they had babies. And the whole family was out on the water, just below the bridge by our place. I got down to their eye level to see the babies, and the dad made a beeline for me. I figured they are probably used to being fed, but with his wings puffing up,  I backed off a bit. The mom and babies came around to me too, and I got to see three of the them.  I kept a bit of distance, just in case though.

Of course, after I'm walking away to go over the bridge home, I see a guy and his dog paused on the bridge... directly over where I was. Ha! I knew I was just caught being a weird photographer.  His dog wanted to say hi, and of course he mentioned seeing the swans coming up to me, admitting he thought the swan was going to get me.
S: yeah, I wasn't sure if he was looking for food or to attack me...so
Guy: ... going to back up, yeah..
We laughed it off and went our separate ways, but I know there's probably and photo of me potentially being attacked on his phone. Oh well.
