Purchasing Difficulties

I got carded! And guess what, I didn't have my BRP or passport with me.  Mind you, in all the time we've been here, we have never been asked for ID with alcohol.  Not at restaurants, not at the grocery store, not even on the Scottish Whisky Experience in Edinburgh.  I'm not mad I got carded, I'm confused as to why this time.

Further Adventure into City Center

First thing we realized last night was our 24 hour bus tickets were no good.  I looked up the time tables for the bus we took yesterday, and it said no service. Darn. The alternate bus routes would have required us to walk past the train stain, so we decided to just take the train. We could eat breakfast at Annie's Coffee House on the way too.  So we headed out, only to find the coffee house closed.  Everything was closed it seemed.  We managed to find a chain similar to Dunkin Donuts near the train station and ate our breakfast on the platform. Using the app, we bought open roundtrip tickets for Glasgow Queen Street.

Adventure in West End

Today Pedro decided to show me around West End, near the main campus.  This is the part of the school that is a lot older, built in1451.  First thing was to decide how to get there.  We've walked that far before, but its a 5.2 mile roundtrip without all the exploring we wanted to do.  So I found a bus route that, luckily, goes from our street, down Great Western Road, passes the University and then goes on to Merchant City (another place we want to visit).  After browsing several bus apps I found a 24 hour unlimited bus pass for £2.90. Sold! We got off at the University and Pedro led me around the giant Hogwarts-like campus.

Foxes and Fireworks

Thursday night, we had just about fallen asleep when we heard screaming. We both sat up to listen.
