Separate Adventures - Day 17
Today Pedro spent some time with his Big Vet. The University assigned senior vet students with incoming freshman for mentorship and advice. Pedro is a Wee Vet. Get it? Wee little vet! So cute.
They hung out at a local favorite bar near the Vet school and all got to know each other a bit more. About 15 students showed up, nice turnout.
Our dining table and chairs were delivered today too! That's the last of the Amazon haul, at least the first wave. Pedro will set that up tomorrow. My wee little vet was tired!
As for poor little me, today is day 15 of my visa processing. That is the standard time it takes for my type of visa even with all the initial paperwork and fingerprint biometric processing. I already had all that finished, they just need to switch out my vignette! Time for another email.
I enlisted R again to proofread and make sure I got my message (desperation) across. I added in my sob story: I quit my job, I moved out of my apartment, I sold my car...the works. I also added that J, the student than I am a dependent of, is already in Scotland and is relying on my ability to work and support the both of us. My resources in the United States are finite. I need to know when I can get my passport back.
We'll see tomorrow.
