Separate Adventures - Day 13 & 14

The bug nets are installed!

Our desks and chairs are almost complete too. There's not much else until the other shipments come in on Monday.

I am lumping these days together because that's how it feels. Weekends are hard for the both of us.  There's not going to be any movement on my visa, and Pedro's school events don't start until Monday. This week is his "Induction Week,"  kind of like an orientation.  There are mandatory and optional events throughout the week for information both in and outside of the school, about professors, advisors, and classmates. He feels odd about it all.

P: I know I am a sociable person, but this feels weird.  Like I'm being forced to meet people, put effort into going to local hangouts, and finding out who's in my class.

S: This is so great... I love you but hearing an extrovert complaining about the daily struggles of an introvert like me is hilarious.

P: haha

S: "forced socialization," my daily life

I told him to go anyway.  He still has a lot of questions and maybe he can find answers or someone who can give them. I even gave him the insider introvert secret: if you don't want to stay, leave.
