Separate Adventures - Day 11

We found out the real reason the bed did not get installed yesterday. The delivery guy wasn't their regular, just a contracted fill-in. When the regular arrived, he and Pedro discovered the other guy really mishandled things, and our headboard was ripped on one side. Pedro said this guy was much nicer, took pictures of the rip and will talk to the store about replacing it, apologizing for the other guy’s behavior. Other than that, the bed is up and useful. I've always wanted bed frame drawers!

Then we talked about pillows. As in, decorative pillows. Pedro and I already have our favorite pillows vacuum sealed in our luggage. I hate the concept decorative pillows. They take up space both on and off the furniture because they are not being used! But to my surprise, Pedro wants them.

P: I need to go buy pillows for the duvet covers.

S: You can't use your pillow? Why buy a pillow just for the looks if we're not gonna use it? Stuff it with a blanket or something!

P: We have the pillows we're going to sleep on, and I am going to get pillowcases to match the sheets for those. Then I'll get some cheap pillows to put in the duvet covers. That way it’ll look nice and stay nice.

S: You're so weird. A man who willingly wants extra pillows.

Pedro ended up getting some things for the kitchen as well. A deep cooking pan, trash can, a knife set, some Tupperware, glass cups, a cooking sheet, a can opener, a mixing bowl, some cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies. But my favorite part is the pair of Pooh Bear mugs with matching coasters. They have our initials on each and look so neat and elegant with the old fashion Pooh sketches. Freaking adorable.

Tomorrow some of the Amazon purchases are coming in, including the vacuum. So Pedro will probably spend most of the day assembling things and cleaning the flat.

He was also able to get an appointment with internet providers to come on Saturday too. So hopefully we can video chat again!

As for me, tomorrow is Friday. Last business day of the week, and my visa hasn't moved yet. Fingers crossed.
